Group for Technology Education

Technology is one of the most powerful forces shaping society today. In our high-technological society, people must be equipped to evaluate and think critically about technology. The Group for Technology Education is engaged in teaching and researching technology within the context of general education, including how to teach technology. Each member has research interests in technical and vocational education, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, wood technology, and agricultural science, and they work together to build up the contents and methods of technology education for all students, from primary school to secondary school, to develop technology literacy, or the ability to use, manage, assess, control, and understand present-day technology.
