Group for English Education

The Department of English Education offers a range of courses in English linguistics, English and American literature, and English teaching pedagogy. In addition, it places emphasis on the development of skills in the core areas of English listening comprehension, speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation as well as the field of international communication.

Through multifaceted courses in our program, students develop a better understanding of the English language, literature, and the cultural aspects of English-speaking people. The teaching staff have a wide range of expertise and are in touch with the latest developments in their respective fields.

Most graduates teach English as a profession, and many become professors of English or its related areas in colleges or universities after the completion of their graduate work.
