Group for Educational Science

The group for Science of Education offers an interdisciplinary program leading to studying educational phenomena and systems from scientific and practical viewpoints. The group is also dedicated to the study of traditionally defined fields such as sociology of education, school leadership and management, social education, teaching methods, philosophy of education, curriculum development, educational policy studies, and comparative and international education.

Graduates pursue a variety of educational, governmental, and private sector careers. They may be found across the country in primary and secondary education, government and municipal offices, and private business.

HAZAMA Kyoko (Ph.D. in Education) is a Professor with research interests in Psychology of Juvenile Delinquency and Clinical Psychology. Professor HAZAMA teaches on the doctor’s course in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

FUJIKAWA Daisuke (M.Ed) is a Professor with research interests in Educational Methods and Development of Classroom Instructions. Professor FUJIKAWA teaches on the doctor's course in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

SADAHIRO Saiko is a Professor with research interests in Educational Policy Studies and Educational System.

TAKAKI Akira (M.Ed) is an Associate Professor with research interests in Study of Educational Methods (Lesson Study).

ICHIKAWA Hideyuki is an Associate Professor with research interests in Philosophy of Education.

TAMMA Yasuhito is an Associate Professor with research interests in Community-based Learning and Education.
