Group for Education of School Health Nursing Teachers

The principal areas in this division are the theories and practices of health sciences, and school medicine and nursing education. The aim is to enhance school health nursing (yogo) teachers’ activities and to equip school health nursing (yogo) teachers with the ability to solve comprehensive school health problems. Health assessment, health promotion, health counseling, and related cognitive and behavioral sciences, as well as pediatrics, psychiatry, and other related clinical and fundamental medical issues, are all introduced in this program.

This course was introduced into the Faculty of Education in 1976. The number of students in each year is 35, for a total of 140. Certification necessary to become school health nursing (yogo) teachers at junior and senior high schools is earned upon completion of the course. Most graduates work as school health nursing (yogo) teachers.
