Center for Research, Training, and Guidance in Educational Practice

In this center, 10 permanent staff members, two guest professors, and three contract instructors from the Faculty of Education are engaged in research, teaching, training, and guidance to improve school education. The center is composed of two sections: Research and Guidance in Instructional Methods and Research and Guidance in School Counseling.

The mission of research and development in teacher education has the following five projects:
1) Project for in-service teachers’ training
2) Project for research and training of ICT in education
3) Project to contribute to rural education
4) Project to assist teachers’ license system in Chiba University
5) Project to promote industry–university and/or public–university cooperation

In addition, other related fields regarding pre-service teacher training and in-service training are also covered.

A project called “Acceleration of Globalization on Educational Research and Teacher Training” is another mission to promote educational studies to dispatch students to Asian countries.

The center publishes an annual research bulletin, “Research in Teaching Strategies and Learning Activities.”

OHNO Hidehiko is a Professor with research interests in School Management.

ITO Hiroshi is a Professor with research interests in school management, teacher training,and teaching practice.

MATSUI Satoshi is a Professor with research interests in International education and practice of education.

ISOBE Satoshi (M.A.) is an Associate Professor with research interests in Clinical Psychology and Personality Assessment.

KUNIYOSHI Koji is an Associate Professor with research interests in student guidance and career guidance.

MORI Mika (M.A.) is an Associate Professor with research interests in classroom management, teacher training.

TSUCHIYA Akiko (M.A.) is an Associate Professor with research interests in learning guidance, learning management and teacher training.

IKUINA Isamu is a Project Associate Professor with research interests in Developmental Educational Consultation.

KOMAKI Hitomi is a Assistant Professor with research interests in Educational Methods and Development of Classroom Instructions.
